How do you show your concern for nature? Every little effort is a step to help save the earth. You do not need to be an environmentalist to show that you care for nature. You can in your own small yet unique ways. An example is by simply conserving water and electricity!
There are many ways on how to show concern for Mother Earth. A number of researches have been done about the “Green Theory”. Rich information may be found from some online sites. There are environmental magazines that give updates on recent and current projects about nature and surroundings. There are awareness movements fronted by groups and organizations here and there. Some movements, like the ever-popular Earth Hour, involves just a little of your time for a global effect to occur.
Every little bit is a step to help save the earth. Here are some of them:
Turn off house equipments.
Studies reveal that by doing such, energy is reduced to 25 percent. Some working people bring their work at home and sleep late at night. What they forget to do is to turn off their computers. Normally they just put them to sleep. Doing so at the end of the day can save a lot. Aside from saving the environment, it’ll save you from burning a hole in your pocket. Talk about saving some cash!
Go for fluorescent bulbs and turn off the lights when not in use.
There are stages involved in producing light. Fluorescent lights lose a little bit of energy in each stage, but it does not amount to as much energy as compared to incandescent light.
Some companies have started to go paperless.
This is good because it saves trees. To those who still use them, you can use both sides of the paper before throwing in the recycle bin. The paperless initiative is done by companies as their eco-social responsibility.
Plant a tree.
Studies show that a single tree absorbs one ton of carbon dioxide which a lot less carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.
Riding the bike is better for the environment.
It will do less carbon footprints to Mother earth. It is not so hard to live in harmony with the earth. Besides, it’s good for your overall health as well. And you’d just enjoy doing it, rather than have to go through stressful and heavy traffic each and every single day.
We can make choices in our daily life to support health awareness movements and campaigns for our environment. No one can single handedly save the earth but some simple “reducing, reusing and recycling” will do the job!
